    Negligent quick fad diet. These ideas have not been scientifically tested for human longevity. Sure, you can lose weight- you can lose weight with a variety of unhealthy methods. There has not been any civilization with this type of diet that has thrived. As Bill Nye said of the paleo diet- this is a means for people to justify the way they want to eat, disregarding scientific evidence. Encouraging this lifestyle not only offers negligent advice towards fellow humans but increases unnecessary an Negligent quick fad diet. These ideas have not been scientifically tested for human longevity. Sure, you can lose weight- you can lose weight with a variety of unhealthy methods. There has not been any civilization with this type of diet that has thrived. As Bill Nye said of the paleo diet- this is a means for people to justify the way they want to eat, disregarding scientific evidence. Encouraging this lifestyle not only offers negligent advice towards fellow humans but increases unnecessary and harmful animal consumption and environmental degradation. A balanced whole food (plant-based) diet with exercise will offer the same results but in a way that will be sustainable and healthy.

    I've been doing keto for a couple of years, it is an incredibly enjoyable way to eat and lose weight without deprivation. This is a wonderful keto cookbook, it's one of my favorites for cooking for my family. I've not been disappointed with any recipes from this book. Some of my favories are prosciutto and cream cheese stuffed mushrooms, classic mozzarella sticks, and philly cheesesteak stuffed peppers.

    I'm very interested in the ketogenic diet. The recipes in this book look easy enough to follow. I will have to do more research on dairy alternatives and whether or not they will work, as I don't eat bovine dairy. I also don't eat beef and a lot of seafood. Much of our seafood is spoiled from the pollution in our oceans. There are many different meats to chose from, however, so this shouldn't be a problem. I was disappointed that this book suggests sugar-free sweeteners, diet colas, and canola o I'm very interested in the ketogenic diet. The recipes in this book look easy enough to follow. I will have to do more research on dairy alternatives and whether or not they will work, as I don't eat bovine dairy. I also don't eat beef and a lot of seafood. Much of our seafood is spoiled from the pollution in our oceans. There are many different meats to chose from, however, so this shouldn't be a problem. Removing sugar from my diet will be challenging.

Thanks to this book and a few miles a week of cardio, I achieved my little goal. There are a lot of keto books out there, and this is a good book for nutritional purposes. It's not science heavy, but it is consistent. High protein, high fats, low carbs. I gave up bread, bread products, and ice cream, which apparently were killing me. I really enjoyed a lot of the recipes, though I haven't tried them all yet. Most of the chicken recipes have been great so far. And like the name of the book implies, there are a lot of bacon recipes. Not a whole lot of butter until you get to the dessert section. Bacon is apart of every major section of the book: appetizers, breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, pork, chicken, cheese, and beef, it all gets a bacon wrap of some kind. If you don't like bacon, stay away from this book. I took a star off the book because everything is done via stove or oven. I have and love my grill. Every recipe is either done indoors or substitutes that grill flavor with liquid smoke. Blech, liquid smoke. Liquid smoke cannot compete with actual smoke from a charcoal grill in my opinion. This is my only complaint with the book, but it is a major complaint with me. If you love bacon and cooking indoors only, you are going to love this book. There are also a lot of keto friendly products out there now, such as primal blue cheese or Oprah's cauliflower pizza. The book isn't an end all be all in my opinion, but can get you a few great recipes in building your own keto cookbook. If only the author could grill, then this book would have been damn near perfect.

    A very informative and well written detailed explanation on the ketogenic way of eating. I truly enjoy cookbooks that contain pictures of the food as I am more likely to make those recipes. I recommend this book for anyone interested in the LCHFMP lifestyle, whether your knowledge is beginner level or more advanced.

    There is balance to this book which makes it a valuable resource. I like the recipes fo Keto Ketchup and Keto BBQ sauce, avoiding sugar but delivering on taste. Negatives come from the lack of depth of culinary education. A ton of very useful ingredients are missing (eg) Spanish Smoked Paprika, which would address a lot of taste issues in the book. Good layout.
