Definitely one of my new favorite Authors!!! Just finished The Ravaged World Trilogy and bonus book, and honestly I’m upset. I’m upset that I’m done reading all of them!!! Trying to decide which book of his I want to start next, but I’m looking forward to reading all he has to offer. Definitely recommend this series for anyone into Zombie type Apocalypse stories. Wow! I got Sea Swept as a free book and COULD NOT put it down! I'm not going to go into the plot since you can read it above, but i will say I saw another reviewer say it was like The Walking Dead meets Groundhog Day and that's a great description. Wright did a fantastic job of making the characters real. I could imagine that I would react the same way in a similar situation (Heaven forbid!) It is a zombie story so expect plenty of terrible situations and gore. It's not for the faint of heart. As Wow! I got Sea Swept as a free book and COULD NOT put it down! As soon as I finished the 1st book, I immediately bought the 5 book set-the last 2 are a different story line, but no less compelling. If you can handle zombie stuff, I highly recommend you try these!

Excellent spin on conventional horror I don't normally read alot of horror books, but I am so glad I gave this book a chance. Seasick was so clever. It had me hooked from the beginning. The other 2 main books were equally as good and I read on in eager anticipation feeling I was living all the drama with the characters of the book. I can't wait to read more books from this author. Give this book a go, you won't be sorry.

Creative zombie apocalypse progression! This zombie novel gives more of the people's story. There were some editing errors, mainly in the second book, but the storyline was good enough to give it 5 stars (Anna was about to be attacked 10 yards from the building, help arrives and after fighting off the zombies they have 20 yards to run to the building.) Even tells us what happened to some of the forgotten characters at the end. This 3 book series would be good for teens or adults. I plan to read s Creative zombie apocalypse progression! Entertaining read I really enjoyed the storyline of these books. It’s great to follow characters across an ordeal and Iain does that well. It has a Walking Dead vibe to it - what I mean is in the sense of exploring the reaction of humanity with survivor relationships. The dead are more of a nuisance; people are the real threat. Iain writes a great story and no character is safe. Loved it.

Excellent! This set of books is a fantastic example of a series of novels that are not only great reads as individual stories but also tie together to tell a much larger, even better tale! Despite a couple books I simply couldn't get into (can't please everyone all the time...), overall I find this author one I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys excellent, keep a person on the edge of their seat stories that cross into many unexpected genres.

The Virus Wow! What a ride! Jack did his best to try and stop the virus from reaching the mainland. Moving on to the Kirkland and it’s for sure that you will find a mad man. From cradle to grave this is a wild ride through the UK. At times, a LOT of hero’s died and a lot scarified for others also is not lost for humanity.

Mr. Wright has given us many great characters to follow in this trilogy...so many that I can’t decide who I liked best. Proofreading desperately needed The proofreading is so bad that I barely made it through these books. It's not a bad story but the writing is awkward so along with the errors it just took from being able to enjoy the story.

Ravage No slow introduction here, wham and you are straight into the snotty, blood soaked gore. Assuming you are not new to zombie horror you will recognise and wince at all the sneezing, finger kissing and bottle sharing. IRW has the amazing ability to make all his characters have depth, none are perfect, they are just regular humans - which gives the thrown together/apocalyptic group dynamic and real tension. The story is split into three parts, you are introduced to various people and watch as circumstance, zombies and plain human idiocy rip them to pieces. IRW does not shy away from the gore factor but gives you enough of the day to day running of post apocalypse to be, in itself, horrifying. The links to his other books is nothing short of genius (if you think SK does a good job wait till you see the intricate web IRW weaves!) I thought the ending epilogue chapters were what really made the story stand out and unique for me. The trail and spread of destruction was reminiscent of SK The Stand but it had such a human element attached you feel yourself shudder at the implications of your own daily life. As for the final paragraphs.... OMG..... Savage Anna (from Ravage) has escaped with Rene and they are now “safe” on a pier. Their journey from there to here is never fully explained which is a shame as they have both clearly become changed characters and also have a bond between them. Garfield, is the new enigmatic wanderer who forages for supplies but has found his salvation in Poppy a child with an awful past. Throw in a few other misfit characters that I wondered how they survived the first few days of the apocalypse let alone a few weeks/months and you have the new community. Not forgetting the poor “fish man” who comes late to the party and is a very sad moment all around. On the horizon is the Kirkland ship with Samuel (from Sam) as captain and Damian/Roman (Final Winter/Housemates) as the reinvented good vs bad character, but he still holds a great love for Harry (Final Winter). A bit repetitive and the PoVs were a bit off occasionally in my opinion. Damien seemed to swing between personas with no real moral compass which was really irritating as though he found himself in Housemates. Not one of my favourite IRW books which is a real shame as he is tying up all the loose ends of his characters, even the Seasick novel only makes a very brief, albeit, clever appearance. I got a bit annoyed at the army break in situation, what was with all the hidden weapons, surely they would have been frisked by trained army men!! Many of the random/odd characters felt like filler or fodder for me with some very cliché moments. There are some very sad and dramatic deaths. The occasional humour moments were really laugh out loud and unexpected. If IRWs intention was to wrap up this set of characters he sort of did but I felt, there is more to this story and really wanted a definitive ending. All that negative stuff said, it was a gripping read and as always IRW treats you to complex story lines that demand your attention, the gore is plenty and the plot is hard hitting. Seasick Another brilliant story by the great IRW and as usual wonderfully presented! That cover alone gives me the creeps.... Not sure I will ever go on a cruise again! The attention to detail of the ship coupled with the well-rounded characters, gives you a sense of "being there" which is really not good when Hell follows you on board! The great interspersed plot lines give a real sense of depth to the characters; IRW has an amazing knack of bringing in characters you have already read about in his other novels and showing you a completely different side to them. A fantastic twist on the zompoc, a bit of thriller thrown in for good measure, for those that love a sting in the tale you won’t be disappointed; the sense of isolation and foreverness really got me! Loved the ending..... talk about doubt your own habits!
