This is one of those books you hear about and hear about, and I've been meaning to read it for so long now... I finally did, and wow... At first I was annoyed by the ridiculous number of typos and misused words. Constant mistakes like this kept drawing me out of the story, but for the most part, it was exactly as I expected--horror, gore, and erotica all mixed together...until it wasn't. At 70% in, the stupidest, most ridiculous thing happens. At first, I thought Hope was just seeing things and that what I was reading was part of her LSD induced psychosis because Mick had been feeding her drugs. This is what I fervently hoped because the alternative was...just...so...dumb. I was wrong. (view spoiler)[ Hope sees the ghost of the man she really did kill while tripping on LSD, except she's not tripping anymore. She's really seeing the ghost. The ghost is real, and he's there to help because he loves her. The ghost can manifest sometimes to push people, choke people, and to touch her, and touch her he does. They continue on to have a relationship--a real relationship. She has a relationship...with a ghost. In case you're not getting this, she has sex with him...with a ghost. Okay, I'm done. (hide spoiler)] Beyond that, everything was based on Mick and his desire to perform these satanic rituals. "It must happen at midnight, you see, it is not an old wives' tale that it is called the witching hour." Umm, except the witching hour isn't at midnight, and a simple google search would've told the author that. It was all so frustrating, making me want to scream, "What has happened to the world?" or as it is written in the book, "What has happened to the word?"

Oh by the way....she will be watched by the leaders of this joint...hey no problem she is "wet" anyway. I guess being abducted turns her on. Third, she comes face to face with the man, Rohan, she tried to prostitute herself with the night before. He works for the flesh factory as a "tormentor" but he so easily let Hope go the night her morals took over. Fourth, Rohan has fallen IN love with Hope. She is the first woman to make him feel something he never feels. WHAT? The tormentor fell in love after 10 minutes with Miss Morals?? I kept reading because I wanted to like this. This had to pull itself together but in the end..... My quota of eye rolling and skimming was maxed out on this one.

More sick and twisted fun from the disturbed mind of Sam West! It's not just a series of torture scenes--at the heart of the tale is a heroine named Hope who fights for her life. But will she survive the Flesh Factory?

The latest offering from Sam West is slightly different to his previous stories and very different to what the reader may be expecting. Crazy book! I guess I am sheltered from this type of life, but realize there are things like this that do go on in real life. Mind blowing that these type fetishes actually exists in the world. To each his own, I guess... book good...contents out there.

In this sick and twist tale, you will find the darkest part of humanity staring back at you as a well-funded Satanist has created his demented version of a way to get the Devil to come and offer him a place by his side. The Flesh Factory is more than just a place that is meant to turn unexpected women into sex slaves; it has much deeper, revolting, and morbid secrets within its wall. Michael Cooper, or Mick as his employees call him, holds a pack with the Devil, or at least he believes, that will shock them all. The problem is he has fallen in love with a beautiful woman who is not one of the usual street walkers his goons collect and bring to the factor for rehabilitation to be sold—she pure, or was. Mick has every intention to break her and make her his own but his ‘breaker,’ Rohan Sanders, has fallen in love with and will shatter Mick’s plans. This book is on the will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is filled with the most unspeakable acts your nightmare hasn’t even considered and will have your skin crawling. Fantastic imagery brings this nightmare to life. Hold on to your socks, take a deep breath, and then drive into an extreme horror of depravity and insanity at its finest.

Darkly disappointing Though I have enjoyed other works by Sam West, this one I did not. Too short, some of the factors didn't meet up & what started out as a great fetish sex trafficking gig became a drug induced trip & then there was the mention of demons & packs with the devil?! Too many weird ideas thrown into the mix I think. "Pleasures of the flesh" is too reminiscent of Clive Barker's character, Pinhead who also quoted, "I have such sights to show you". So this particular story was a fail for Darkly disappointing Though I have enjoyed other works by Sam West, this one I did not. Not one of his best. When you pick up a West book you can pretty much expect to be disturbed, and I'm plenty disturbed. (Whether that was before or after reading I'll leave to you to decide haha) Flesh Factory started out strong, it was the master of torture (Of breaking hundreds of women, in his words) falling in love at first sight that made my gorge rise the most though. Can't say I care for the paranormal turn the book took. (Great nod to one of the coolest scenes in Ghost Ship though) Not t Not one of his best. I feel like the story would have packed more of a punch had the big bad guy not had such silly motives. It made him look rather pathetic in the end.

I liked the setup and "British-ness" of it :) But the editing is so poor, it pulled me out of the story. Not even 10% in and there was an edit blip: black dress then red dress. I shrugged it off at first, but the errors just kept coming. And the ghost part?? Um...no. Weird. I get this is an erotic horror, but it felt like too many elements thrown in to keep the erotic part of the horror going. Unique and interesting, but not as smoothly executed as I'd hoped for. Quick read. Not as graphic as the label warned it would be, but still pretty good. Keep in mind, I'm used to some pretty graphic stuff, I did still enjoy this though. I felt it could've been a little longer and went into certain characters a little more deeper but I did enjoy it and I will be checking out more of Sam's work.

This book was very nicely done. Very twisted! I expected the depravity to be completely different. I expected it to turn out in a different manner. I was surprised by the ending and the goal of the flesh factory’s leader. Overall, a fun, gross, gruesome, grotesque, and crazy ride!

Give it a pass Book is far too short and simplistic and gore is far too scant to be considered "extreme". If you have maybe an hour or so to kill, you could do worse, but you could also do far better.

I knew the book was in trouble the second the hyped up torturer decided to not torture the heroine. What follows is some quick talk about what goes on in the flesh factory, a tour that at most ammounts to nothing more than glimpses. Extremly boring, nothing happens, the heroine is at besst subjected to extremly light vanilla BDSM but nothing more in spite of the description of the flesh factory. This is a book that talks fhe talk but annoyingly refuses to walk the walk.

I'm not even sure where to start... First of all I personally would put this story in the bizzaro category other than horror. Second there seems to be two extremems in this book that don't really merge well or at least time wise not fitting right. For example the love story, it took a paragraph for the Rohan to instantly fall in love....we didn't even get his point of view about his first reaction of her when he meets Hope. Second the guards talked him up like some dangerous guy but I didn't get I'm not even sure where to start... First of all I personally would put this story in the bizzaro category other than horror. It's fine but I would have gone and explored that more and maybe have had him actually do his job and develop it more so I do gather that you don't fuck with this guy. Even develop a love not let it happen in 2 pages. There really wasn't any training for Hope or even hints about how insane our villian is. It just was all of the sudden out of nowhere the dude is gross and insane again no development. The ending actually reminded me of the film called Ghost Ship, for those who have seen it you'll know the scene I'm talking about. There was potential to being a really good horror/bizarre story ( there is a ton of good ones ). This one just feel a little short to me. Shame

This book deserves a higher rating! It's shocking, yes, it's horrific, yes, and it's absolutely absurd, yes. But what else would you expect going into it? It deserves 5 stars for not being afraid to shock people. It's what you bargained for, an extreme horror novel with plenty of shocking moments. One in particular which made me feel terrified. (for those of you who have read it, the baskets. Yes, I'm talking about the bloody baskets!) Praise to Sam West!

I was disgusted by the level of depravity in this book. I sincerely couldn't have imagined the depth of disturbing scenes created in this story. The author has some skill with his story initially, but took the story so far from believable and added such gruesome images I honestly couldn't have ever even imagined plots this horrifically twisted. I really can't ever remember wanting to write a review designed to warn anyone from reading a story, until this book. Oh, this was such a good read. I absolutely loved the beginning 'dear reader' part. People have a hard time understanding they are reading fiction and that it's not real! And may not even be who the author is in real life. Loved the story! Another great one from Sam.
