But you all have to endure the annoyance with these “reviews” since this is my only social media outlet, (b) drives Miss Daisy our children to their baseball practices where he has a couple of hours to kill before Ubering them back home again while I drink $2 Aldi wine and harrass Shelby on the phone, (c) appreciates the full-service diner I run out of our kitchen about five nights a week, and (d) was told by me that the price point on this was wicked cheap – he bought a copy for me at the local B&N. I carried it around from room to room for a few days thinking I would peruse it when I had a break from my normal routine that consists of really important stuff like picking up rogue turds deposited by the worst dog(s) in America or screaming things like “HURRY UP! NO ONE NEEDS TO TAKE A 45 MINUTE SHOWER! WE ALL KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING IN THERE!” to my teenagers or getting swept up in the Kindle book that was also being lugged around or other distractions such as shiny objects and . . . . . So smoooooooooshy!!!!! *heart emojis 4-eva* (Please note that unless you are a cat racist, you will clearly see that this is Booker T. Washington and NOT the asshole-photobombing Django Unchained. Because there is no smoosh to be found between Django and myself and I need to keep my fingers in order to play on the intertubes all day.) If you’re looking for healthy dinner options, Tasty is probably the last cookbook or website you want to go to. Buuuuuuuut, if you’re looking for snacky things, party foods or “duh, why the hell don’t I make these?!?!?!?” options, it might be a winner. The latter is what happened the other night with steak and chicken fajita quesadillas. Super easy, super fast, super yummy and my picture almost looks better than the professional’s version which is AWESOME! Theirs: Mmmmmm, burned. And mine: (Lacking salsa because we bought the grocery store’s “homemade” version and I thought it was disgusting.) This one was totally worth the $10 it cost because I would have never known just how many things I could make out of a can of biscuit dough if it weren’t for Tasty and I bet you a dollar to a donut . . . . . That when if I ever invited people to come to my house, this would be the book they grabbed from the cookbook hoard shelf while congregating in the kitchen. Well, right after Thug Kitchen , that is, since that one is fucking amazing and also sits prominently on the counter on an easel.

Meh. What happens what buzzfeed makes a book. Nothing stellar in here. Basic recipes you could find in most any cookbook. I don't know why I was hoping for something more original than chicken cordon bleu and cinnamon rolls. Beautifully photographed of course, but terribly organized. I mean lasagna on one page with banana bread on the next. And that "On Trend" section is just going to date this book shortly. Just stick with videos if you must and skip the book.

I recently purchased Tasty Ultimate: How to Cook Basically Anything because my library did not have a copy and was disappointed that none of the fun recipes I had seen online were included. Then, I borrowed this one from the library and surprise! I found the fun recipes I had been looking for. I think this is a great cookbook if you're looking to try something new and a bit different. It would help to ease some of the monotony or boredom you may have from some of the same old meals or desserts. Overall, this cookbook just has some fun and easy recipes to make occasionally. Wish I had bought this one instead of Tasty Ultimate.

From the good people who created the online Tasty videos, Tasty Latest And Greatest is a collection of over 80 fan favorite recipes. Most of the recipes included are quick and easy to make using easy to access ingredients. There are however one or two recipes which they call “Special Projects”. These are somewhat more challenging, but worth the effort. After a brief introduction the recipes are divided into several categories: Party Country Fair Sweet Classic Vegetarian Best Ever Around The World On Trend Bombs And Rings As with the Tasty brand itself, there’s nothing typical about this recipe book. For instance the Classics category includes puffed pastry followed by gnocchi, chicken cordon bleu, and there is even as pepper steak and a beef stew recipe included in the chapter. This may seem a little eclectic together but they certainly are classic recipes. All the recipes include a brief introduction, and the serving size. For the most part the directions are simple and easy to follow, but in some cases somewhat imprecise. For instance, the Pizza Bombs directions indicate that you should cut the mozzarella into cubes, but unfortunately doesn’t say what size of cube. Given that too much mozzarella could actually overwhelm the other ingredients, this is a bit of an issue. Easy Recipes With Good Variety I did like that several of the recipes are extremely easy. For instance there is the “Easiest Three Ingredient Desserts Ever Four Ways” page. This was four different dessert recipes all with only three ingredients. Couldn’t get much easier than that. Some of the recipes have a full-color photo, some even have photos of the step-by-step process. For the most part the ingredients used are, as promised, easily sourced. With only 80 recipes, I was surprised at the variety. There really is something here for everyone and every occassion. See the full review and the recipe for Chocolate Galaxy Bark at The RecipesNow! We have all seen the Tasty videos being shared on Facebook. The ones you can’t help but watch. They get you salivating and ready for your next meal! I was excited when I saw that they had their own cookbook! The book itself is filled with gorgeous pictures!! There are some recipes that have lots of pictures, and others that don’t. This is the perfect cookbook for hosting a party or tailgating during football season. This is probably the last cookbook you will pick up if you are on a diet. This is the perfect cookbook for hosting a party or tailgating during football season. This is probably the last cookbook you will pick up if you are on a diet. There aren’t too many waste friendly options. But YOLO! You have to enjoy and indulge sometimes, am I right? There are a few vegetarian options, so you definitely get something for everybody. I think the recipe I am most excited to try are the carne asada fries! Basically fries covered in meat and all kinds of delicious toppings. The pastel glitter-bombed unicorn cake would have been perfect for Zoe’s birthday party!! The one thing I will say about the book, there is no rhyme or reason to the order of the recipes. They are sort of all over the place which makes narrowing down a specific meal a little hard. What do you think of the Tasty videos? Have you made any of the recipes yourself? **I received a copy of Tasty Latest and Greatest from Blogging for Books in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.**

Tasty is a video series created by Buzzfeed. Tasty invented the idea of quick video cooking demos and does it better than anybody else. They make cooking interesting and accesible. This collection of some of their most popular recipes is great fun to read. The book bubbles over with encouragement and enthusiasm. The recipes themselves are interesting and they cover everything from traditional American snacks (fried cheese sticks, deviled eggs) to more exotic recipes from faraway lands. This book is a hardback but it's small so it's easy to keep in the kitchen or tote to the grocery store. There are plenty of photographs and the recipes are easy to follow. The writing makes you want to go into the kitchen and try new things without fearing mistakes. This isn't Martha Stewart, folks. If your chocolate frosting isn't exactly like the professional chefs make, nobody is going to care as they gobble down your cake and ask for seconds. This book encourages you to have fun, enjoy cooking and share the fun with your friends. And imo, that's what good cooking is all about.

I don't think that very much sets this apart from any other cookbook; also, what makes the Tasty videos online so neat and does set them apart from other cooking sites is that they're, well, videos. The recipes in here, for the Magic Chocolate Ball, for example (wherein the fudgy brownie with fruit is covered with a chocolate ball that you make with an empty ornament... for... some reason and then pour syrup over to melt it before eating it, because... magic, maybe? idk) is really best conveyed I don't think that very much sets this apart from any other cookbook; also, what makes the Tasty videos online so neat and does set them apart from other cooking sites is that they're, well, videos. Like, the steps just make more sense when you see the video- same for the decorative pastries. Step-by-step photos would also work, but those are not given for most of the recipes here. So nothing in here looks terrible and I'm sure they're fine, but I think that this just isn't the ideal format.

Would be GREAT for kid chefs though!

My first introduction to Tasty was on Pinterest. I noticed how all these videos featuring delicious looking recipes from them. I was very interested in seeing what their cookbook would be like. I am not sure exactly how to rate it. What I liked: often would have one recipe 4 different ways (For example: Easy Poke cake 4 ways - Chocolate Turtle / Peanut Butter Banana / Cookies & Cream / Berry Cheesecake). Many of the recipes sounded really tasty. I did not care for the arrangement of this book. I My first introduction to Tasty was on Pinterest. I guess I like my cookbooks to have the recipes in categories by type of food rather than this book which has categories with names like Around the World, On Trend, and Best Ever. Also there are recipes with all different ranges of experience and equipment required.

One of my family's favorite new cookbooks. It's easy to follow because of so many clear photographs. The recipes are interesting and trendy. Sometimes perhaps too trendy. But if you've tried something that seems to be popping up at several restaurants, or if you've seen recipes explained on digital media, then this cookbook will probably have them. Lots of fun and usually the recipes turn out quite well.

I love this cookbook! I made the jalapeno popper dip for Superbowl Sunday. It was absolutely amazing! My husband and I were talking about making that particular recipe a tradition for every Superbowl from here on out. I have also made the brownie recipe. It is super yummy as well. The galaxy bark recipe looks so beautiful! I might make that for my daughter's unicorn birthday party. I can't wait to make all of the recipes from this book!

Lots of great recipes in here that I know my family will like. What sold me on it was that ingredients are easy, handy ingredients that don't require shopping in a special store. The instructions are easy too and doesn't require a lot of time, intricate cooking techniques or kitchen equipment that I have to special order.

So to be honest the only reason I gave this cookbook 1 Star was because I couldn’t cook anything from it. 90% was heart attack (joke) causing with it’s super low health score. I’m sure the Tasty app has plenty of “healthy”options but this book, compiled by Buzzfeed, was a bit over the top with sugar and grease.

Tasty Latest and Greatest: Everything You Want to Cook Right Now is created by Buzzfeed's cooking brand. It contains over 80 recipes that are a mix between classic dishes and super-trendy ones. It's nothing super special and you can easily find versions of all of the recipes online, but it's a fun cookbook and would make for a great dinner party-theme.

I like that it has photos for most of the recipes. It is a decent size and is easy to take with you if you are traveling. I see the videos on facebook all the time from this company and thought why not try it out. The only downside is that not all of the recipes are the healthiest, however, there are a few.

Tasty has a tendency to skip some steps; some of the items in the ingredients list go missing in the directions, so then you're not exactly sure what to do with those ingredients. However, the recipes are good and some are classics that I will make time and time again. But of course, others are more on the trendy side and are just a one-time make for instagram.

The "author" of this book is a blog, lol. They say their theme is "fun" food, and the recipes skew very young. So if you don't necessarily care about healthy cooking, but are looking for easy recipes with simple ingredients, here's your jam. That giant cinnamon roll in a skillet definitely looks fun.

Bought your book a year ago, found a lot of the recipes I did not have in my cupboard, but the Buttermilk Fried Chicken’ was absolutely beautiful! My hubby is such a pain to cook for, if he knew that I used buttermilk to marinade he would not literally ate it! I feel great (he is such a stick in the mud). Its a winner!! Thank you 🙏 xx

I'd give it 5 stars but it's not gluten free, (though some qualify), and some of the recipes aren't quite as easy as they're presented. Great methods, techniques, presentation! We'll be cooking out of this often.

The recipes all looked very good but the very first one I tried has an error in it. The sugar cookies are supposed to cook for 8 minutes at 300 degrees but that can not be correct. Mine cooked for at least 12 minutes at that temp and I finally turned it up to 350. Need some better editing imho....

I enjoy the groups of recipes displayed on Facebook and expected more of the same. This is a slim volume with only a minimum of Facebook-style offerings. I will try some of the recipes but it isn't the resource that I expected.

This is pretty, but was a blind Prime Day buy for $11. If I had seen it in a bookstore I would not have brought it home. Instructions aren’t terribly clear and most of the food looks cool but doesn’t seem worth making to me. Oh well.
