    When A Man Let’s His Pen Run Wild Charles Stokes is the kind of poet that when you read his words you wish you wrote it first. He does this with using analogies that are simple and familiar but always containing a double meaning or dimension. These lines demonstrates this emphatically, “Flowers bloom/Brides and grooms/which were once planted roots/who grew into this beautiful truth/Called Romance...” Some of my favorite poems are “joy rides with a heart theft,” “with myself,” “A Prison’s Cell,” bu When A Man Let’s His Pen Run Wild Charles Stokes is the kind of poet that when you read his words you wish you wrote it first. He does this with using analogies that are simple and familiar but always containing a double meaning or dimension. This is because Charles is very in tune with his feelings and express them in a very fluid and witty way. It is as if when he writes he is composing a jazz song with a rhythm and improvisations of story effortlessly. Love Pain & Poetry: The Depression and It’s Acceptance is a phenomenal book of poetry that will have you truly in awe and empathizing with Charles with every word even if you never lived every word.
