Like all cookbooks some recipes (that I tried) were better than others but for the most part, I was impressed with all that I tried and the wide variety of options this had. From cookies to custards, it really did have a little bit of everything most people crave only healthier and better for you. *ARC provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.*

I'd been on a keto diet for a week when I was approved to review this book. I wanted to see what options there were for me since I'm new (and grumpy) to the world of keto and I was pleasantly surprised. The book itself is simply and tastefully laid out, the instructions simple and easy to follow, and for the most part, the ingredients are common enough. I broke down and bought some sugar alcohol (no comment) and my first attempt at the chocolate coconut cream pie went well. I'll be sharing this book with family for sure.

While I am not on a keto diet, I do enjoy incorporating recipes from various diet plans, and low-carb dessert options have not been something I have seen much. The Keto Sweet Tooth Cookbook by Aaron Day is a beautiful book which will have the reader drooling in no time! One of the aspects of this book that I am most appreciative of with all cookbooks is an introduction that helps to prepare the cook for the recipes which await them. If you are new to keto cooking, it is absolutely necessary to peruse this section prior to beginning, as there are several ingredients called for in many of the recipes which would not be found in the average kitchen, and may even be hard to come by at your local grocer (e.g., chayote squashes, granular erythritol, etc.). Aside from an ingredient here or there, the recipes seem to be fairly straight-forward and suited for even the beginner baker. Each recipe contains the nutritional information as well as other identifiers such as dairy fee, gluten free, sugar free, egg free, etc. Accompanying a vast majority of the recipes are photographs that are sure to entice the reader into their kitchen. Recipes include cakes, cupcakes, muffins, puddings, custards, cookies, brownies, bars, pies, and tarts. If that isn’t enough, Day has also included frozen treats, and my favorite—confections and fat bombs (Chocolate-covered cheesecake fat bomb, anyone?). Whether you are on the keto diet or simply wishing to include more low-carb options in your meal plans, the Keto Sweet Tooth Cookbook is a must-have in any kitchen. *I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

THIS is the kind of cookbook I love. I love the layout. Beautiful pictures as well, that eagerly makes me want to make ALL of the recipes right now! Its very simple with ingredients most keto people should have already on hand. The recipes themselves also seemed easy enough that any beginner can bake. Thats how detailed the instructions are. The cover is decadent

Ok, so every time I have tried to view the cookbook, it just seems to not load for me. I am hoping that I can get a physical copy to use for recipes, but super about not being able to fully review this cookbook. This makes me sad :(..

This is a really nice cookbook. The photos are beautiful, and the recipes have a nice variety. There is nutrition information handily broken down at the bottom of each recipe. The chocolate chip cookies are a winner, and my husband also enjoyed the "rice" pudding--he didn't even guess it was cauliflower! Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for a digital ARC.

Keto Sweet Tooth Cookbook is a new low-carb dessert cookbook by Aaron Day. Released 9th July 2019 by Penguin on their DK imprint, it's 160 pages and available in ebook and paperback formats. I have heard so many people comment that they could never follow a low-carb diet because they would have to give up desserts 'forever'. This interesting collection of recipes provides 80 tasty counter-arguments. The author has done a good job of writing an accessible and logically formatted cookbook. The introductory sections (~14% of the total content) define the terms and give a very basic layman accessible overview of the metabolic processes behind ketogenic diets and how to make sweet foods sweet without adding sugar to them. This chapter also includes an overview of nut flours, binding agents and other specialized ingredients used in the recipes. The next chapters contain the recipes arranged by type: cakes, puddings, cookies, tarts, fat bombs, and frozen treats. The book does include an index. The book is very well photographed and the composition is pleasant and easy to read. The recipes themselves are clear and easy to follow. Each recipe has a header with special symbols such as nut-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, with a short description of the recipe and approximate prep-times. The ingredients (given in American and metric measures) are listed in a sidebar, along with yields and serving sizes. Step by step directions are followed by nutrient information. Many (but not all) of the recipes are pictured. We tried the peanut butter cups (p. 120) and have made them twice since the original experiment. They're a huge hit. We also tried the chocolate covered cheesecake fat bombs (p. 126) and they were also delicious. It might be worth noting that some of the ingredients (nut flours, binding agents, confectioners erythritol) could possibly be difficult to source outside of mail-order or unless the reader lives near a very well stocked specialist grocery store. Four stars. Highly recommended for people who enjoy dessert treats who are following a keto diet and also nice to have some keto-friendly recipes for work functions or keto-friendly dinner guests. Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes

I’ve been following the low carb/keto way of life for several years now on an off. I lost 120 lbs in 8 months and spent a lot of time tweaking and creating recipes to keep me on track. They merely list the ingredients and half the time it’s so new and unknown that finding it becomes a challenge. Then when the ingredient is purchased the product doesn’t have information on how or why it’s necessary. That and why it’s not something to be omitted. I loved the pictures. The digital formatting needs some work. I struggled to get it downloaded and often the pages overlapped and would not correct themselves. I think a physical copy would be easier to navigate. I liked many of the recipes. I probably found 2-3 I might try but I could tell that there were many recipes that would need serious revamping for me to like and use. Many look like the initial recipes I found in the very beginning and have tweaked To suit my personal liking. I’m an admitted food snob/foodie. So my thoughts are a little harsher than the average cook. However for the new to keto it’s a decent start collection However my biggest complaint with this book is the assumption the author makes is that Keto is Low Carb High Fat. Yes, LCHF is a form of KetoDiet however “Keto” is an umbrella term for any diet that allows the body to fall into a Ketogenic state. So to flat out make the statement that Keto is Low Carb High Fat and not include the others helps further the misinformation problem in the keto community. For many the high fat is not something their bodies can handle. You can include high fat recipes to a keto style book but to pass on the assumption that to follow keto is only following High Fat very harming. It’s an argument that keeps a lot of people from trying the diet/lifestyle because they require a low fat diet. I didn’t follow high fat. I lost 120 lbs in 8 months. I’d urge the author to remember that if he should decide to create other books that keto is an umbrella term and there are many variations that are correct being called a keto diet. It’s not a one size fits all just like not all people enjoy the same foods. Other than that I’d recommend it to others as a beginner set of recipes. They’re well written, easy to understand, and the images aesthetically were nice. A few recipes I wish had been imaged but that won’t keep me from experimenting.

Thank goodness for this book! I've been trying to follow a ketogenic lifestyle for about 5 months now, but I have to admit--my sweet cravings were really defeating me. Filled with excellent sweet recipes, there is something in here sure to satisfy even the worst sweet cravings! There is excellent educational information at the beginning, super helpful for someone like me who isn't necessarily used to cooking with some of these non-conventional baking ingredients. Most recipes feature full color tempting photos so you know what the end result SHOULD look like (I'm trying, really!), but not all. All recipes do include the nutritional information, vital for all low carb or ketogenic eaters. Most recipes I have tried so far have been fairly easy to follow and most importantly: they are helping me stay on plan and not undo all the great work I've been doing! He covers the traditional desserts like cakes, puddings, cookies, pies and even ice cream. He even includes the famous fat bombs made famous by diet practitioners. While he sticks with the classics it is great to have a group of healthy alternatives to use. Each recipe is easy to follow with an ingredient list and step by step instructions and nutritional serving counts. He does include tips and alterations to the recipe. If the alteration includes additional ingredients he updates the nutritional facts along with it. This is a good go to for healthy dessert lovers.

I was first attracted to Aaron Day's recipes when I came across a video where he baked and compared several tiny loafs of bread made with different binders. That's when I knew that he works hard on his recipes and immediately subscribed to his channel! All his concoctions are sugar free and can be enjoyed by people on keto or low carb diets. There are headings on top of each recipe stating whether it is nut free, gluten free, or egg free. Useful for those who have allergies. No special ingredients and equipment are needed - an essential criteria for me in a cookbook. In fact, the ingredients are often what I look at first when I open the pages of a cookbook! I think there was one recipe that needed a special brand of ingredient (I forget which one now!) Almost all the recipes are accompanied by very beautiful photographs (something we've come to expect from DK.) Thank you, Netgalley and DK for the ARC. This is my honest review in exchange.

This book is amazing! A comprehensive guide to Keto baking. I've been doing Keto for 3 months (down 25 lbs, yay!) and while in the beginning it was hard to find adjustments, now I'm pretty stable. This book is something I definitely needed in my life and at the same time I probably shouldn't have it. Hahahaha. This cookbook jumps right in. The beginning gives you a little break down about the keto diet, and talks about how sugar affects your body. It covers some basics on flours and other ingredients needed in keto baking. The recipes look delicious! I can't wait to try them all. The pictures are beautiful. You get 80 recipes for keto sweets. I would definitely recommend! I follow Aaron on a couple of social media sites. His chocolate chip cookie recipe is my #1 go-to, they are so delicious. My mom is on keto and I sent her the recipe last year and she makes them all the time too. I love how you don't have to use 27 million different ingredients to make any of these. A lot are simple and easy. Thank you for having so many beautiful pictures in here. I'm a visual person so seeing all of the wonderful recipes makes me really excited to try a bunch of them.

I just love this cookbook!!! One of my biggest struggles with dieting is my love of desserts. the Keto lifestyle with the higher fat content has been perfect for me and the recipes are a home run. I absolutely love the pumpkin cheesecake recipe it is delicious and the chocolate mousse with the avocado is surprisingly creamy and tasty. I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review. This dessert cookbook is one of the best I’ve found.

Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy of the Keto Sweet Tooth Cookbook. THESE LOOK AMAZING!!! I'm so glad to have found this book. With the holidays coming, sticking to Keto is going to be extremely difficult for me; 1 because I'm super picky and 2. because I have NO self control when it comes to food. I will definitely be trying out some of these yummy desserts for the holiday gatherings I'll be attending. I've made a few dessert-like foods already and they are actually pretty delicious!

This book is a blessing! I have been on the Keto diet lifestyle for almost a year...down 40 pounds. This book gives lots of desserts with the nutrition values included. Aaron Day has given us recipes that he has designed. If you are familiar with Keto you will recognize all of the ingredients he uses. The first part of the book gives details about those ingredients and how to use them. I can't wait to start trying them out!
