Samantha Christy brings the feels. Sara and Denver struggle to navigate in her new reality where they think they can't have what they really want. Both characters grow and change for the better in such a realistic way. So glad to see Denver finally have some good happen. He finally gets his HEA.

Samantha Christy has once again written a book that brings characters to life with real life situations to the pages of her book. The research and time she spends on her characters is what makes her my most favorite author. I love reuniting with past characters and meeting new ones (Sara’s cousin). This book will forever be special to me😊

I was so wrong….here it is… another “Master piece” Denver was wrongly convicted of a crime and after he was finally found innocent, he struggles to find his place in the world. All he ever wanted to do was be a fire fighter but even that has its limits. His parents died in a horrific car accident and because of this, he tends to freeze up when he is faced with a horrific accident. How will he ever overcome his fears? Denver’s company is called to an accident scene and he is trying to help a young woman who is badly injured. She is in and out of consciousness but all he can see is her eyes in a rear view mirror. Her hauntingly beautiful brown eyes. Time quickly goes by and she is finally released from the confines of the mangled car and is rushed to the hospital. He has to see her… he has to make sure she survived. It was touch and go and she may not make it but he needs to be with her. He later learns that she has no one coming to see her. She has a cousin and due to a rocky past, they don’t really communicate but at least she makes an appearance however cannot commit to being there for Sara every day. She has a boyfriend but he too is MIA. Against his family and friends protests, he forms a new routine. Work… Visit Sara….Go home, sleep…work, visit Sara…go home, sleep…. rinse and repeat. He does not realise it yet, but his visits is what gets Sara going. As times goes by, Sara becomes aware of her surroundings but is confused….who are all these people? She somehow recognises one set of eyes but who is he and how does she know him? She tries to speak but she can’t…. Having a tube down ones throat cannot be comfortable. Frustrated she tries to grab the offending thing but a soothing voice is heard and it belongs to him. She is drawn to him… She trusts him. His eyes are so familiar and yet she doesn’t know him. Why is he here? As time goes on, she realises that having him by her side… reading, playing cards and telling stories, she feels safe… Is he her guardian angel? I could carry on for hours and tell you how amazing this book is but leaving a detailed review will not do and it will spoil it for you! You HAVE to read this book. Samantha has a way with words that will find its way into every part of your heart and soul. The stories come alive and you feel as if you are a part of the story itself. You and the characters become one…. This story will take your breath away from beginning to end. Its heart breaking because the pain is real….. The love is fierce… and the hope, is alive. A second chance at life is not something that is often granted but when it happens, grab it with both hands. You never know when you may take your last breath. Love with everything you have…. Make memories as often as you can. Life is cruel at times but you can make a difference and live like there is no tomorrow. Thank you Samantha for a phenomenal story.

Wowsers! What a completely unique story. Two lost souls just trying to find their way in the world. Both just as lost as the other. Denver is such a beautiful man. With a huge heart he only wants the best for everyone, even if he ends up empty handed. Sara is confused and scared of the unknown. The chemistry between them is there from the start but slowly gets stronger throughout the book. I adore their friendship above anything else, they bounce off each other and make each other whole. Sparking Sara is an absolutely amazing love story. This book has all the feels and grabs you at page one and doesn't let go! Romance, some action and suspense, absolutely wonderful characters, and a hero to die for ........make the perfect story. Denver and Sara met under the worst possible circumstances, but end up with the best possible outcome. These two are perfect together and I absolutely loved the ending. Once again, Samantha writes a perfect love story!

5+ Star's This is Denver and Sara's love story, while both characters on their own seem damaged, together they help each other fight through their issues, I would recommend this book and series to adults that love reading stories that are funny, steamy, suspenseful, and romantic.

Another great book by Samantha! You have Denver, who is a firefighter and a girl he rescues, Sara. They seem to have this instant spark but as you will find out her life is complicated so it’s a bit of a slow burn to get to the good part. But the relationship they develop during this time is so sweet and Denver is a such a swoon worthy hero. And the end is everything you could hope for. Another winning book by Samantha Christy. Can’t wait for the next one!

Samantha delivers again with a sensational story Sparkling Sara! One of the things I love most about Samantha’s writing is you don’t know where the plot is leading, you just HAVE to keep turning the pages. And what you find in those pages...Oh My...Denver is not only my new book boyfriend, he is my book soulmate! With so much dedication, understanding, and unconditional love for Sara, Denver rescues her in EVERY sense of the word and in every way he can...”nothing short of miraculous”.

I love the way Samantha makes her characters so relatable. Denver is a new firefighter trying to work past losing his parents in a car accident a few years prior. He feels so drawn to Sara and I loved how Sara’s subconscious was drawn to him. It was so enjoyable seeing past characters making cameos in this book. It’s a slow burn but so worth the wait!

I have read everything that Samantha Christy has written, and one of the things that I love about her books is that there is always a unique element to her plots. Sparking Sara is no exception. In what's become my typical emotional reaction to a Samantha Christy story, this book reduced me to tears, battered my heart, and carefully mended me and soothed my wounded heart before leaving me all smiles. Gosh.....what a journey for Denver (Aspen aka Sawyer Mills wife from the Perfect game series is his twin sister) and our dear sweet warrior heroine, Sara. There was practically nothing left of my heart strings after these two were through with me. Pass the Kleenex pronto!! "You keep saying In what's become my typical emotional reaction to a Samantha Christy story, this book reduced me to tears, battered my heart, and carefully mended me and soothed my wounded heart before leaving me all smiles. There was practically nothing left of my heart strings after these two were through with me. Pass the Kleenex pronto!! "You keep saying you want what's best for her, he says. But did you ever stop to think that what's best for her is you?" In this epic slow burn romantic tale, Denver and Sara feel an overwhelming spark towards one another, that is repeatedly placed on the back burner as Sara wrestles with herself and her circumstances. All the while, Denver is fighting an inner battle with a crippling fear raging war on him. Denver's life has not been an easy one, and he fears he may never fully recover. He cannot change events in his life, no matter how badly he may want to. What he can do, and feels called to do, is be there for Sara as she tries to reclaim the life she doesn't remember, and honestly, prefers not to the more she learns of herself. Betrothed to another man, Sara must not allow her feelings about her Fireman in shining armor to dissuade her from putting her life back on track. She knows that most people in her situation would give anything to regain their memory and jump right back into the life they left behind in that accident. But Sara's heart is telling her that something doesn't feel right about doing that. More important to her, is listening to the voice telling her that Denver is her new home. Her safety net, her friend, and everything she never dared to hope for. How can she let go of him now? Denver was an astonishing hero, in literally every sense. He sacrificed his wants, needs, and potentially his life in order to save Sara and numerous others. He was Sara's champion and always put her first...a woman he didn't even know. My goodness he epitomizes every girl's fantasy of the knight in shining armor come to life. The man is pure gold and I'll be the first to admit that I'm amazed at how Samantha redeemed him in my eyes. I just wasn't too sure that he was going to win me over, but boy...he knocked me over like I was a bowling pin! SWOON! In short...Denver is a REAL MAN! I'm talking not only talks the talk, but walks the walk y'all. Phew! The road to the HEA Denver and Sara were both deserving of was not an easy one, it was a long and hard fight. Their story is raw, painful, but simply put...beautiful. If you enjoy emotional journeys, with a twist you won't see coming, you'll truly enjoy the adventure that Samantha Christy provided by sharing Denver and Sara with us. She can write heart-felt romances that just stay with you! I highly recommend! PLUS, while this book can be read as a stand-alone, you get to visit with so many wonderful characters from her previous books (Ivy, Sebastian Briggs, Aspen, Kyle Stone, Baylor, Gavin, and Lexi to name a few) and I loved that! I cannot wait to get my hands on Brett's book next! Oh the teasing SC did in this book. EEEK!

This book definitely had me in my feels. I have loved Denver since 'Stealing Sawyer' (great book btw) and have been excited for his story for just as long. He hasn't had the easiest life especially when it comes to his adulthood. He finds himself moving to a huge city to try and start fresh, but he get so much more. Sara is an artist who was involved in a horrific accident, but was given something so much more precious. She has her struggles to get through, but she was given a second chance at life. These are two beautiful souls who are lost in the world and deny themselves in the beginning but find their way together in the end to create something so beautiful. The love and support that he shows her through her journey made my heart expand 3 sizes.. lol I really want to talk about the book, but I am afraid to give anything away.. ugh! They have amazing chemistry from the beginning and in so many parts of the book I wanted to shove them together, but I am absolutely in love with their journey. I have to say I appreciate the Epilogue as well since it had me completely content and love them even more. I am so excited to read about Lt. Brett Cash.. Literally counting down the days and locking myself in my room.

However, I really liked the story and we got to watch Denver and Sara build up a strong bond before romance even entered the picture. The first half of the novel reads more like contemporary fiction than romance. This can be read as a standalone except it is obvious that there are many cameos of couples from previous novels. I felt like the cross overs were a little gratuitous at times but readers probably appreciated revisiting with old characters. Denver is a great guy and I liked that he wasn't perfect in all arenas of his life. I would have liked to know more about his backstory and the author references him being arrested in the past but never divulges why. I am wondering if that is in the book about his sister Stealing Sawyer? Sara and Denver meet during the harrowing rescue from a car accident. Sara suffers memory loss erasing the last 3 years of her life. Apparently she was a huge bitch during those years and has few friends to help her on her road to recovery. I don't totally buy that she went from being nice to super bitchy just because of her newfound fame. I would have liked some flashback scenes that maybe indicated her being bitchy but having inner turmoil about her behavior. It would have made her lack of friends more believable. Towards the middle of the book we start to get a little angst at Denver and Sara's inability to be together despite their growing interest in each other. This was my favorite part. The glances, the sadness, and the trying to move on were well done. However, once they got together there was still about 20% left in the book and it sort of felt like an extended epilogue. Everything just kept getting wrapped up very neatly and it felt a little too sugary and dragged on. I did like this novel and look forward to reading something else by this author but this also wasn't a devour in one sitting kind of book either.

Another 4.5/5 for me! Only a little less than 5 because I loved a few of the other stories more. Denver is such a good guy, and I have been looking forward to his story! Well edited. Denver is Aspen's brother, whom we met back in Aspen & Caden's story. He has been cleared of the charges back in Kansas City, and has moved to New York to start new. Not only did he move, but he also changed careers. Denver has finished training for the NYFD, and is now waiting on assignment to a station. However, the Another 4.5/5 for me! However, the car accident that took his parents has seriously impacted him. Every time the FD gets a call for a motor vehicle accident, Denver freezes up and/or gets sick. Will he ever be able to overcome his fear and move on in his new career? One MVA puts him in a car with a victim. He helps to rescue her, and when he goes to check on her, finds she really has no one to be there for her. Denver finds he is unable to leave her alone in the hospital. By the time she wakes up, Denver is invested is seeing her get better. However, when Sara wakes up, she's lost the last three years of her life. And truthfully, when she hears what she's been like, she really doesn't want to remember. Slowly, the people from her past come back, including her fiance. Neither Denver nor Sara seem really sure about Oliver. But, if he loves her and she loved him doesn't she owe it Oliver to try and get their life back? As the pieces of Sara's life come back, will she find the answers and a life she wants? Or, will she find more questions and a desire to start anew? And when the truth finally comes, will Sara go back or embrace a future with Denver? I adore the books and characters that populate this world. We get visits from some of characters from the past - Baylor and Gavin, Aspen and Sawyer, Caden and Murphy, Kyle Stone, Sebastian, and more. So looking forward to Brett's story and wherever else Ms. Christy decides to take us. Enjoy!

Denver has fallen in love with her but doesn't want to interfere with her getting to know Oliver again. So he takes a step back. I was intrigued by Denver & hoping he would get his own story after falling in love w/ his sister, Aspen, and Sawyer in Stealing Sawyer. I'm so happy these characters continued into a new series! They both try to do the right thing because neither of them are cheaters. BUT WE STILL HAVE TO READ ABOUT THEM DATING/KISSING (no sex) other ppl! And that part of the story just did not work for me, even tho it was plotted & written very well! Overall, I highly enjoyed the story, even w/ that pet peeve rearing its head. Sparking Sara is the second book in Samantha Christy’s Men on Fire series. While you don’t need to read the first book to understand this book, it is an amazing read. Fans of Christy’s books will recognize characters from her Perfect Game Series as well. I have read all of her books and know that this is one of my favorites. Fans of Christy’s books will recognize characters from her Perfect Game Series as well. I have read all of her books and know that this is one of my favorites. Denver and Sara’s story begins after a tragic series of events. This is a slow-burn romance in which both of the lead characters start out as friends. This progression of strangers to friends to more was refreshing and was not rushed. It was clear that the characters cared about each other deeply before they actually entered into a romantic relationship. The story is told in two parts, allowing readers to truly know the characters and understand all sides of the story. While this is a romance, there is a twist at the end that added a sense of excitement and drama to the story. I know that Sparking Sara is a book that I will read over and over again. It was a beautiful story about redemption, love, and friendship. Do yourself a favor and read this book as soon as you can!

I have no idea where Samantha Christy gets her AMAZING imagination and gift for writing. She has yet again made my jaw hit the floor in speechless wonder with the story line of the 2nd Book of the Men on Fire Series. This story is not your average romance novel and you will not be disappointed. The broken souls of Denver and Sara will break your heart from the start. Just like all the other Christy men, Denver does not leave anyone wanting in the hotness factor of his swagger and swoon worthiness. His Chemistry with Sara is a slow burn .. well spark.. that slowly evolves in the most enthralling story telling I have read in a while. The push and pull between Denver and Sara is there and keeps you there until the end. With out giving too much away, I promise you will not be disappointed with this intriguing edition to the Men on Fire Series.

With another man suddenly showing up in the picture Denver takes a step back but quickly realized that Sara means everything to him. This book is amazing in so many ways. The struggles Sara and Denver face together are not far fetched and straight out of real life. I was so moved by this story that it left me in tears at times. Samantha Christy created a phenomenal story with incredible characters. A must read!!

The first part of this story (which was in Denver’s POV) took so long, the only thing keeping me reading was Denver’s willingness to admit he needed to talk to a counselor, and curiosity to find out more about his parents’ death and subsequent legal stuff. There was too much TBI medical detail (I think the doctor said ‘we just won’t know’ about four times) and ‘rehab-speak’ and of course, not much ‘spark’ when the heroine isn’t totally coherent (or even speaking). The second half (in Sara’s POV) moved along better, but I still didn’t feel that ache for the other that you want in romance novels. Then I got to what I thought was the climax (it was a good twist) only to find there was more. Then there’s another ‘climax’ aka emergency which I thought was it (and frankly wasn’t necessary). But no, there was even more. So for me, this was a sweet read but pacing was odd and stretched out. And one big loose end: we never really find out the complete story about Denver’s legal stuff (it’s only hinted at).

Denver is the sexy firefighter that has his own issues he has to overcome. His relationship with Sara helps him to that just as their friendship gives her the encouraging to tackle her days when her world is turned upside down. I loved this emotional read! Just when I didn't think it could get any better, the end brings things together and proves me wrong! Visiting with old friends from previous books was a bonus that Ms. Christy gives her readers! I can't wait to see what's next. Maybe Brett??
