This is the second graphic novel in the Geronimo Stilton Graphic Novel series published by Papercutz. I read this after enjoying first volume. Like the first one I read this to my daughters and they totally enjoyed it! How much did they enjoyed it? When I read it to them at night they tell me not to stop! These books tell the story of a mouse Geronimo Stilton and his family and friends going into time in history through a time machine to stop the insidious plot of the Pirate Cats. These books tell the story of a mouse Geronimo Stilton and his family and friends going into time in history through a time machine to stop the insidious plot of the Pirate Cats. Besides the adventure long the way young readers will also learn about history. As a parent passionate about history I like that! In this volume Gemino and his group goes back to time to ancient Egypt. He is joined by a same cast of characters from volume one: his cousin Trap, his nephew Benjamin and Benjamin’s friend Bugsy Wugsy. However there’s a new addition to this stoy: Petunia who takes the place of Thea in volume one (Thea is Geronomino’s sister). Together they enter the “speedrat” which is a time machine to go back in time to Ancient Egypt. Their adventures take them to Giza Plateau, Memphis and the Nile River, all real places in ancient Egypt. I love how the graphic novel will have information panels telling us the history and fun facts along the way. This is great and informative. My kids will often ask further historical questions whenever these pop up. Geronimo and friends meet all kinds of interesting historical figures along the way and manage to stop the Pirate Cats’ plot to change history. Fun!

It's good, but it wasn't my favorite one. My best part was when the pirate cats jumped off into the water~

If your child is a Stilton fan, they'll enjoy seeing the novels in graphic form. The artwork is very nice and the story keeps the action running. A nice book to show reluctant readers.

It's so cool! I love it because I have learned a lot about Egypt even though most information wasn't really true. Also, I like reading comics :D

3 stars & 3/10 hearts. I really like the images of this book. The story is humorous and light, of course, and also teaches a tiny bit about Ancient Egypt. Of course there is some exclamations of “the gods be praised,” etc. 3 stars & 3/10 hearts. I really like the images of this book. Rats vs. Cats in ancient Egypt. There is always a background lesson in History in these comics and this one introduces the young reader to the culture of ancient Egypt. Though I laughed through it, Geronimo Stilton is not Tintin, not Asterix, not Garfield! It just misses out somewhere.

The comics seem to be a bit better at teaching kids about the subject matter at hand, but they still have some pretty weak plans from the Pirate Cats.

Our youngest loves the books in the Geronimo Stilton series. And although they aren't my favorite, I'm willing to oblige. When she picked out this book, along with two others, I naively thought they were shorter books, so I happily borrowed them all, only to realize that they are all graphic novels. We slogged through this one and it took us about two weeks to finish it, since I could only bear to read a few pages at a time. In any case, this story does include some fascinating history and facts about ancient Egypt, so it's a worthwhile read.

Geronimo Stilton tells the story of the Pirate Cats, who want to convince the Egyptians to change the face of the Great Sphinx into a cat's face. Geronimo succeeds in protecting the Great Sphinx from the Pirate Cats. This book can be used for independent reading. The graphic novel can help keep students engaged and not feel overwhelmed with an abundance of words on a page. They can also use the series of pictures as support to understand the text.

This book is about Geronimo Stilton. He goes into ancient Egypt because the pirate cats strike again. The pirate cats want to change the Sphinx's face into a cat. My favorite part was when they finally got home because Trap is so funny about eating cheese.
